12U Red Angels Win Perfect Game Early Bird Round Robin Tournament

(St. Charles, IL)

On opening day, one must always be ready to brave the elements of Mother Nature.  As the sun randomly made appearances throughout the day, the 12U Red Milwaukee Angels began the 2018 season much where they left off the 2017 season; on a winning note.

Strong pitching and hitting from Tyler Suttner proved to be the difference in Game 1, as the Angels battled back and forth with the West Englewood Tigers, ultimately prevailing, 10 to 9.  After an early deficit, the Angels took charge in the 3rd inning, sending 11 batters to the plate and taking the lead.  This lead would remain until the 5th inning, where the Tigers would battle back with a four run rally.  However, Suttner's bat would prove to be costly to the Tigers, as a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth sealed the win.

In Game 2, Aiden Burke was able to set the tone on the mound against the Wheatland Ducks, allowing the Angels offense to manufacture 9 runs within the first two innings.  Bradley Corcoran and Jackson Braley finished strong for the Angels, who were able to defeat the Ducks, 13 to 4.

As a result, the Angels finished with the top record in the 12U division, allowing them to be the 12U Champions for the Perfect Game Early Bird Round Robin Tournament.
